Terms of service

Aureon Cards is the trading name used by Aureon Medical GmbH for its trading card and collectibles business at aureoncards.com. Aureon Medical GmbH is the legal seller, contracting party and website operator.

1. Scope and seller

These terms apply to shopping and related services at aureoncards.com, including trading card singles, sealed products, accessories, physical code cards and collection purchase enquiries. We serve consumers and business customers. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Aureon Medical GmbH trading as Aureon Cards.

2. Product identity and condition

The product listing identifies the set, card number, language, finish, condition, quantity and any sealed or empty status as applicable. Different languages or finishes are separate products unless explicitly offered as selectable variants. “Near Mint” is the stated condition assessment, not a professional grading certificate or a promise of a particular grading result.

Every single card in our stock is individually scanned using our Ricoh fi-8170 scanner. Single-card listings use scans from our own inventory. Where multiple copies are available, the displayed scan may represent one copy of that same listed card and condition. Contact us before purchase if you want to see scans of the other available copies. Screen settings and scanning can affect displayed colours and foil appearance.

Accessory and sealed-product listings may use reference or manufacturer images. Their descriptions state what is included. Empty tins contain no cards, packs or other contents unless expressly listed. A code-card listing includes only the stated code-card product and its applicable redemption entitlement.

3. Orders and availability

Listings are subject to available stock. The checkout shows your selected products, delivery charges and total before you submit an order. Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated receipt confirms receipt of that offer; acceptance occurs through an express acceptance or dispatch confirmation. If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and refund any payment received.

If a material listing or pricing error is identified, we will contact you to resolve it rather than silently substitute goods or change the agreed price. We do not retroactively change an accepted order’s price because market values fluctuate.

4. Prices and payment

Consumer prices include applicable VAT and other mandatory price components where required by law. Delivery charges and any destination-related taxes collected by us are disclosed before payment. Where relevant, import charges not collected at checkout are explained in the Shipping Policy. Checkout identifies the payment methods actually available for your device and location.

Ownership remains with the seller until full payment. Any reference price, collection valuation, price history or market estimate is informational, may differ from our selling price and is not a guarantee of resale value or an investment return.

5. Shipping and protective packaging

Our Shipping Policy explains dispatch from Germany, delivery options, tracking and packaging. For consumers, responsibility for loss or damage in transit remains with us until delivery in accordance with applicable law. Selecting untracked post does not waive those rights.

6. Withdrawal, returns and defects

The Refund Policy explains the statutory 14-day consumer withdrawal right, our additional 30-day option, return costs, reimbursement and the withdrawal form. Mandatory rights concerning defective or misdescribed goods remain fully applicable. A manufacturer’s voluntary warranty, if any, is separate from your rights against the seller.

We appreciate prompt notice of delivery problems, but consumers do not lose statutory remedies merely because a problem was not reported immediately.

7. Collection offers and reference library

Submitting a collection for valuation or sale is an enquiry, not acceptance of a purchase by us. Do not ship cards to us until a purchase or assessment arrangement has been agreed. Any offer will identify the relevant cards, condition, price and delivery arrangements.

Our reference library is for identifying and exploring cards. A catalogued card does not mean that we have it in stock; only the linked shop listing and its availability determine whether it can be ordered.

8. Aureon Cards app and digital services

The app’s coming-soon page describes current development plans. Features marked planned or in development are not delivered merely by buying a physical product. If digital licences, trials or database expansions are offered for purchase, their listing and checkout will explain the delivered features, duration, price, renewal status and applicable licence terms before purchase. Digital consumer rights and withdrawal rules remain applicable; these terms do not create a blanket “no refunds” rule for digital products.

9. Website use and intellectual property

Do not misuse the website, interfere with its security, submit unlawful content or disclose another person’s personal information without a lawful basis. Use your account credentials securely and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

Our branding, original scans and original text remain protected as applicable. Third-party card artwork, trademarks and database rights belong to their respective rights holders. Nothing in these terms grants rights beyond normal use of the website or the purchased product.

10. Privacy and external services

Personal information is handled as explained in our Privacy Policy. External websites and payment services have their own terms where applicable. Linking to them does not remove our responsibility for our own services.

11. Liability and events beyond our control

We remain liable without limitation where required by law, including for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health and liability under mandatory product liability legislation. For ordinary negligence in an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract where legally permitted. Nothing excludes mandatory consumer remedies, digital-product rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

If events beyond our reasonable control affect an order, we will inform you and explain available options. Such events do not remove statutory cancellation, delivery or refund rights.

12. Applicable law, disputes and changes

German law applies. Consumers retain the protection of mandatory laws of their habitual residence where applicable and their mandatory rights concerning jurisdiction. Any exclusive place-of-jurisdiction agreement applies only where lawful for the relevant business customer.

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in consumer arbitration proceedings unless mandatory law requires participation. Contact us first if you have a complaint so that we can try to resolve it.

Changes to these terms apply prospectively. The terms agreed for an existing purchase are not replaced merely by publishing an updated version. Mandatory rights prevail over any conflicting wording.
